Program Information
& Curriculum
Throughout this school year your child will be given the opportunity to grow and develop in a variety of experiences and learning opportunities. We will lovingly challenge and nurture students in their knowledge and experiences in the following areas:
Academic Social/Emotional
Physical Biblical
Our curriculum, Opening the World of Learning (OWL). This curriculum reaches all content area, provides hands on experiences, creative projects, family projects, fiction and non-fiction literature, music and poetry for Kindergarten readiness! Meets NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), NCTM (National Council of Teachers of mathematics), & IRA (International Reading Association) standards and in accordance with Washington State Standards.

(Open Court utilizes visual, auditory and kinetic learning of the alphabet)
Voyages is our Bible Curriculum from CPH. Through Bible stories, parent letter, crafts and puppets, they are learning that God is integral in all we do, and the Jesus loves us all unconditionally, is our Friend, Savior and is always with us. We also attend Chapel twice a month.
3-Year Old Preschool Class
Preschool Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Morning class is from 9:00-11:30.
Your child will be exploring units of the OWL this year, as well as dental, season and thematic units.
Through an educationally, play-based program, your child will grow and acquire skills in many areas.
This year focuses on introductions to many techniques and special projects. Academically, we will go through the alphabet, calendar, patterns, basic math, colors/shapes, rhyming, seasons, weather, graphing and much more. We will work on fine and large motor skills in a variety of ways. Socially & Emotionally we are beginning to learn about interacting with our peers through small and large group learning and working independently. We will experience our Bible stories through stories, Chapel twice a month, puppets, crafts, and role play is integrated throughout the day in how we treat, love, and respond to one another.
Throughout the year, we will also go on field trips, have class parties, an evening Christmas Program and other special activities!
4-Year Old Pre-K Class
Pre-K Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Morning class is from 8:30-11:30am.
Your child will be exploring units of the OWL this year, as well as dental, season and thematic units.
Through an educationally, play-based program, your child will grow and acquire skills in many areas.
This year focuses on kindergarten readiness, growth and mastery in basic skills as well as building on new skills. We will be learning many similar things as in the preschool class, but the pre-k class will be expanding and exploring subjects more in depth as well as adding extra components to these activities. This year is a big social/emotional year in making friends and how to be a good friend in and out of school. We will be experiencing and learning some new Bible stories . We continue to learn to work cohesively in our small and large group learning as well as working independently and productively on their own.
